Typ901 invited to GT3 Challenge at Phillip Island May 2009
According to the 2008 CAMS Manual you do not need a harness for regularity-- a normal lap/sash belt is suffice .
To reinforce this point I have done Regularity a few times with just a seat belt .
Extinguisher ( less than 5 years old and suitably mounted ) yes , blue triangle for battery location -yes , bonnet secondary retaining system -yes ( you can jury rig something suitable easily ) . You may need a designated towing point .
I woud check on the harness thing John. Even if it didn't the speed at the Island, warrant having a harness!!! The problem there is you don't realise how quick you can go. It feel like doing 100 on the freeway when you are really doing double that!!
harness: yes
F.ext: yes
CAM S2: no
towing point: no
clothing: do i need anything special? suit? shoes?
bonnet catch: no
blue sticker for batteries: no (do i need a single cut-out switch?)
Tow point, use the factory one, or get one from Mark Poole that screws onto the back of your engine case - that is what I have, and it can be removed easily when you are back on the road. It is a killer on your skins in the garage!
Clothing, non flamable wrist to ankle clothing, so jeans and a long sleeve cotton shirt.
Boot catch, $12 from the local yacht shop
Blue sticker, will give you one if you make it to the Island!!
