Cam, that would be an easy build in... frame it up in timber or preferably steel and clad the bottom half in colourbond or miniorb - will still comply with cyclone ratings, and then a couple of rollerdoors will see you with a secure space.John Forcier

i bought a bag of old porsche racing posters at the porsche stand at phillip island earlier this year. (like everyone else in the typ901 enclosure)
finally found some inexpensive frames (ikea - where else) and put a bunch up. apols for the poor pics.
i've still got about 8 or 9 posters left!

Industrial epoxy based self-leveling compounds are a great option in particular if you want to refinish and older degraded slab - hardened surface, easy care impervious to a range of chemicals, etc also long lasting. In some instances epoxy compounds can also be installed over existing tiles, other substrates including raised floors. Ardit is one of many brand names and is readily available though alot of their products are cementious.

Well I've made some progress.
Once again I got carried away and didn't take photos... Basically I've clad the underside of the house/garage in "Deep Ocean" colourbond and picked up a matching seconds roller door.
Interior is getting sheeted in 'versilux' fibro panelling using beading rather than skimming joints (another skill I just don't have time to learn). A mate in the building industry was wrecking a hospital laboratory and asked if I could use some cabinetry... $0 ...hell yeah! I also installed two panels of peg-board to hang stuff.
I reflected deeply on painting the floor. In the end I went cheap with White Knight paving paint in medium grey after etching the surface. If this floor fails, I'll re-assess...
Picked up the big flouros off eBay for $20 each. Added triphos tubes and as God of my Garage, said "Let there be light"My mate is under instruction to let me know if he's wrecking any buildings with a drop ceiling I can pilfer to hide the joists and bearers, plumbing and electrical...
I can now park 3 cars under the deck and fit two projects to work on in the garage itself. It will be close to perfect... until our pending new bundle of joy causes my wife to re-assess the fact we've got a small block, little grass, and no pool... Then I'll have to buy a new house and start all over againJohn Forcier

Hi Michel
I looked at doing something like that, but one of our bathrooms is directly overhead with heaps of plumbing and there is a lot of electrical conduit running about the place - so I thought hiding the lot might be a better option... But a drop ceiling will certainly rob me of around 30cm of height.
I'll revisit the white paint route!John Forcier
